Swap Society

Swap Society was founded by two friends, Meagan Powell and Gracie May, who bonded over their shared love of preloved fashion, sustainability, and circular fashion. Their journey began in a charity shop, where they instantly clicked, and after volunteering together at a local village swap event, they knew they wanted to take things further. Swap Society was born—a mission to make clothing swaps trendy, edgy, and accessible.

Meagan, the creator of Thrifty Style Muse, is passionate about making sustainable fashion stylish and attainable, while Gracie, the Store Manager at Dorothy House Westbury, brings her expertise in preloved retail. Together, they’ve created a space where fashion lovers can swap quality pieces, refresh their wardrobes, and embrace a more circular way of dressing—without compromising on style.

But this isn’t just any swap—it’s about taking swapping to cool, creative spaces that feel exciting and fresh. Think coffee shops, industrial warehouses, florists, and unexpected venues that bring like-minded people together. That’s why their first event is happening at Doubles in Melksham, a coffee shop and pizza bar set in a reimagined industrial space, with vinyl records providing the perfect soundtrack.

Swap Society’s first event takes place on 10 May 2025, where guests can swap clothes, sip coffee, enjoy handmade pizza, and listen to great music—all while embracing the future of fashion in a fun, stylish, and sustainable way.
